I graduated from Universite de Montreal in 1995 and opened my first practice at McArthur Dental Centre in Ottawa in 1997. As a mother of three children I am very confident and comfortable working with children of all ages. We are proud to offer you a brand new high tech facility where comfort and a relaxing environment are the key words. I strive to bring our patients the best service by pursuing continuing education courses in Orthodontics, we offer Invisalign (invisible braces) and regular orthodontic treatment, as well as, General and Cosmetic dentistry.  Dr. Donald H. Young
Dr. Young graduated with his Bachelor of Science, and his Doctor of Dental Surgery from University of Toronto . He is accredited by the Canadian National Dental Examining Board, and the American Dental Association Council on National Board Examinations. He is a member of the Canadian Dental Association, and The Toronto Crown and Bridge Study Club. Dr. Young was born and raised in Ottawa , and lives in Manotick with his wife Kathryn and their three Bernese Mountain dogs.
Dr. Young works part-time with the City of Ottawa , and is a consultant with Health Canada . His latest continuing education courses included the World Clinical Laser Institute Symposium in Quebec City , and Anterior Implant Restorations: When Biology Meets Esthetics.
His hobbies include flying, scuba diving, and boating. His daughter Julie is a professional photographer, his son Kyle is student at Carleton University . |

I am originally from Ottawa and I am proud to serve my community as a dentist. After completing Bachelors in Science at the University of Ottawa, I went on to study dentistry at McGill University in Montreal. Having the option to enter private practice immediately, I opted to further my knowledge and skills in dentistry by completing a one year General Residency Program at the University of Texas, one of America's most prestigious dental schools. There, I learned leading edge and advanced procedures in the area of esthetics, surgery, and sedation. From my thorough explanations to my gentle touch, I believe every dental visit should be as enjoyable as possible. I take the time to explain every procedure and involve the patient as much as possible, so that we form a strong partnership and achieve the results we want.  Jennifer Leaman
Jennifer graduated from Algonquin College 's Dental Assistant Level I and II program in 1998 and worked as a Dental Assistant and Dental Receptionist. She returned to Algonquin College for the Dental Hygiene program where she was on the Dean's Honour's list and graduated in 2003. Since then, she has enjoyed providing quality dental hygiene services to the community. She has a Teacher's Development Certificate from Durham College and in addition to working at Kanata Dentistry.ca, she teaches the aspiring Dental Hygiene students at the Canadian National Institute of Health. Her passion for educating the public for optimal oral health is her #1 career priority and that shows in her friendly personality and charm! A 30 year resident of Kanata , she looks forward to continuing to serve this community.

 Karen Burns
Karen Burns is a warm and friendly person at Kanata Dentistry's administrative team. Having many years of experiece as a dental assistant, she brings knowledge and empathy to her daily work. Originally from Cornwall, ON she moved to Ottawa to attand career Canada College in 1989. She now lives in Stittsville with her husbank and 2 beautiful boys. Karen spends her time being a "hockey-mom". Karen will see you with a big smile and assist you with all your appointments needs. |

 Amanda Bowes
Amanda is a Certified Level II Dental Assistant and has been working at Kanata Dentistry since January of 2010. Half of her time is spent Assisting Dr. Young and the other half of the time she is working reception. She finds it very rewarding to be working with such a great team and for an office that stays so up to date with the latest technology and procedures.

I graduated from Algonquin College in 2010 as a Certified Level II Dental Assistant. I am pleased to join such a great and hard working team at this office.
